Dr. Blake is the newest member of the Partners in Rehab Medicine family and joined the group in September 2019. He received his medical degree and a Masters in Health Services Administration from the University of Kansas Medical Center after graduating from Washburn University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training. He recently completed his residency in PM&R at the University of Colorado in Denver.
Dr. Blake’s practice focus is outpatient musculoskeletal medicine involving the assessment and treatment of most acute and chronic pain of the joints, tendons, ligaments and spine. Additionally, he utilizes his training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) to perform nerve testing EMG/NCS and help patients with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions ranging from focal joint and soft tissue injuries to amputations to spasticity following stroke. His background in athletic training led him to integrate diet and activity into the treatment plan of many of his patients as part of a holistic approach to overcoming the aches and pains that everyone experience at times. He will be treating patients in Lawrence, as well as Kansas City.
Originally from Parsons in the Southeast corner of Kansas, Dr. Blake and his wife Kaitlin are glad to be back in Kansas. He enjoys the outdoors and staying active through cycling and hiking.
